Meet the Newest Little Belrose!
We just got back from Winnipeg where we visited with Jaren, Sayuri, & Lua and met Kai for the first time! He's doing really well...gained back his lost weight and a tad bit more in just a week. Big sister is slowly checking him out. Kai was born December 4th and weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. Although Jaren wasn't able to be there in person for the birth, he was able to be present via phone from Rankin Inlet.
Proud Grandparents,
Darrell & Mary Jean Belrose!

Prayer Concern Update
On Sunday, we were asked to pray for Olivia Lu. Last Friday during the snowstorm, Long Song had an issue with his vehicle and needed to get the twins out of the van to safety. Unfortunately, while holding them in his arms, he slipped and fell. Olivia’s leg was hurt. She complained until Long Song took her to Children’s Hospital. Olivia had to have surgery on Sunday (about 1 hour) and after about 1 1/2 hours in recovery, she was sent home. She currently has a molded cast on her left leg that continues across her tummy and down the top part of her right leg. She’ll need to have the cast on for about 4 weeks.
This is a setback that has turned life upside down for the family in many ways, perhaps including a planned trip to China in the new year. Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Spreading Christmas Cheer!
A number of organizations have collaborated this year in order to make Christmas a little merrier for those less fortunate in our neighbourhood. On Saturday, December 19th, a full Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served at our church. Guests will be invited by Social Services who initiated the event. We just happen to have a facility that was large enough to accommodate everyone. Knights of Columbus will be covering the cost of food. Others involved are the Mountain View Lion’s Club and St. Vincent de Paul.
Dinner will be served at 5 pm followed by crafts, entertainment, and a sing along of Christmas music.
Volunteer positions are still available. If you can help, please contact Shirley Smith. Volunteers will have a free dinner. But the best pay will be the all the smiling faces that you help to create!!
